How Kabrita Goat Milk Formula Helped Soothe Grayson's Constipation

Every parent’s feeding experience is as unique as their baby. While the journey may be easy for some, others may struggle. Real Parent Story is a series on our blog where we ask real parents to share their feeding stories. Whether you’re expecting or already have little one, we hope these stories can offer you insight into what worked (or didn’t work) for parents just like you.

Today, we will be sharing Roselyn and Grayson’s story!

Tell us a bit about Grayson!

Grayson has been intolerant of cow’s milk since he was an infant. We noticed how he would get severely constipated while supplementing and would seem uncomfortable after consuming a bottle. Seeing that this was an unavoidable issue, once he turned a year old, I decided to seek an alternative to our pediatrician’s routine milestone cow-milk suggestion that she suggests to toddlers. In addition to cow milk, there were also suggestions of nut milk from our pediatrician. After comparing the nutritional value, it was like apples to oranges.

How did you first hear of Kabrita, and why did it seem like a good solution for Grayson?

I discovered Kabrita by doing my online research on toddler formulas and suitable cow-milk alternatives available in the U.S. market. Kabrita Goat Milk Formula immediately stands out as a premier option. I had already heard briefly about the phenomenal things about goat milk, so I was excited when I came across it.

As Grayson turned one and his nutritional needs changed, I wanted to provide him with a toddler formula versus a carton-milk option, for the added nutritional benefits. Nut milk couldn’t offer the level of nutrients and quality that my son would benefit from, like that found in a goat-based formula – such as Kabrita; and cow-milk for sure wouldn’t either. With Kabrita being goat-based, and packing so many nutritional add-ons, it was exciting to finally come across something that was so superior to everything else on the market.

How did Grayson transition to Kabrita?

He did so well! He loved the taste from the very first bottle and never had an issue consuming it. Down to the last drop, it was something he took down so fast and would search for more. I also quickly noticed, how fast his digestive system began responding. Before giving Kabrita a try, I had been testing out a very high-quality organic cow-based formula for a fair ruling, and it had our son constipated for weeks. Once we introduced Kabrita, Grayson began producing completely normal stools in under three days!

What do you think of Kabrita’s taste and smell?

I have tasted Kabrita myself, and I love the taste! It’s not a weird yellow color like most other formulas. Unlike different European formulas, it dissolves easily when mixing. Plus, there is no odd smell, at all!

Did you have a particular perception of what a goat milk formula would taste like before Kabrita?

I honestly was not sure of what it would taste like, but one concern was that it would be too sweet, and thankfully that was not a problem at all. It tastes relatively light compared to other formulas, and I feel that’s much more complimenting to a palate.

Is there anything else you’d like to add or share about your experience?

My experience has been great! I can rest easy knowing that Kabrita is meeting my son’s nutritional needs by exceeding expectations and standards. Grayson has taken so well to Kabrita, and I have already decided that once he reaches his 24-month mark, that we will be continuing with Kabrita’s standard goat milk powder as a part of his diet.
