Every mom’s feeding experience is as unique as her baby. Real Mom Story is a series on our blog where moms share their feeding stories. We hope these stories can offer you insight on what worked (or didn’t work) for moms just like you. Read on to learn about how Kathy came to choose Kabrita goat milk formula for her daughter Skye.

How did you first hear of Kabrita

I was researching different kinds of milk other than cow milk. I ran into goat milk. Kabrita was one of the goat milks offered to babies and, looking further into the brand, I fell in love with all the benefits.

Why did your family have a need for goat milk formula?

My daughter was solely breastfed. However when my breastfeeding journey came to an end, we had to introduce formula to my LO. I noticed my daughter wasn’t really taking well to cow based formula. She always seems to have a stomach irritability we couldn’t figure out. Through my research I discovered all the wonderful benefits goat milk has to offer. So imagine my joy when I discover a toddler goat based formula, it was the pot of gold for my family!

If related to symptoms being experienced by your child, can you describe them? And also describe how drinking Kabrita may have helped with those?

Being a breastfed baby then switching to formula already seems straining. However once my daughter tried the goat milk, was when I actually noticed the actual difference. She did not do her usual fuss or strain/push after the milk. It was definitely easier to digest.

If related to your need to supplement with or switch to formula, please describe why you chose to do so and why Kabrita seemed like a good solution?

The breast feeding came to an end. with research Kabrita goat milk was something that kept coming up as, “close to breast milk” and “easy digestion.” We tried cow based formula but we quickly noticed fussiness after feedings. So we opt to try something new and it worked!

Did the ‘European quality’ element have an influence in your decision to try Kabrita?

No the “European quality” did not influence my decision. All the great benefits Kabrita has to offer is what made my decision, but ultimately my daughter decided Kabrita.

How did your child take/transition to Kabrita?

She transitioned great! it was like she didn’t noticed the difference in the milk, which was great!

What do you think of Kabrita’s flavor?

You can definitely taste the difference. Kabrita is a bit more mild, yet tasty.

What is your favorite thing about Kabrita Formula?

My favourite thing about Kabrita by far is all the benefits!

  • Having double the amount of fatty acids, making it closer to breast milk.
  • Bio-organic sodium enhances humans joints
  • Anti-inflammatory, offering a special enzymatic element that reduces inflammation
  • Selenium is one of the elements that helps strengthen the effectiveness of the immune system.
These are just some health benefits of goat milk! Having a goat milk based formula for toddlers is my favourite thing about Kabrita.

Is there anything else you’d like to add or share?

Truly love Kabrita. Wish it was easier to access and actually made an option from doctors. I’ve come to learn not many people know about a goat based formula. It would also be amazing if Kabrita would be an option for WIC (Women, Infants, and Children | Food and Nutrition Service).
