Fluid goat milk is not suitable for young babies, whose kidney function is not yet fully developed and have a hard time handling by-products of protein digestion. Kabrita Goat Milk Formula contains an adapted amount of protein and is safe for babies.

The FDA does not approve infant formula, per se. They do have, however, a clear regulatory framework for infant formula. Prior to marketing any new infant formula in the US, manufacturers must notify the FDA and submit all required information. During the 90-day pre-market notification period, the FDA has the opportunity to question this submission. After this period of time, and/or after any questions have been resolved, a manufacturer may market their new infant formula. Kabrita USA is working on the criteria, as outlined by the FDA, to launch goat milk infant formula in the US. At this time, Kabrita Goat Milk Toddler Formula is available in the USA.
