Naturally A2 Milk

All mammalian milks contain two types of proteins: whey and casein. Casein can further be categorized into A1 beta-casein and A2 beta-casein. A1 beta-casein is typically found in conventional cow’s milk and may be associated with tummy troubles. Unlike A1 milk, A2 milk has not been associated with tummy troubles such as abdominal pain, stool frequency changes and constipation. Goat milk is A2 beta-casein dominant and naturally contains no A1 beta-casein. On the other hand, plant based protein inherently contains neither A1 or A2 beta-casein, and digestibility may vary based on the protein used.

Kabrita Goat Milk Toddler Formula is naturally A2 milk and may be an option for little ones with minor issues associated with cow milk sensitivity. Goat milk products, including Kabrita, are not recommended in cases of cow milk protein allergy.

Whey added to Improve Digestibility

Whey is the portion of mammalian milk protein that remains liquid in the gut, while casein forms the curd during digestion. Plant based milks contain no whey or casein and derive their protein from other sources. By adding whey to cow or goat milk based formula, the whey to casein ratio is favorably adapted as whey is easier to digest than casein. Kabrita contains added goat milk whey for improved digestibility and is one of the only goat milk toddler formulas in the US to do so.

No GMO Ingredients

Many families are looking for foods without genetically modified ingredients. GMO standards and requirements vary by country. Kabrita Goat Milk Toddler Formula uses high quality Dutch goat milk, is made in the Netherlands and contains no GMO ingredients. Kabrita is also the only formula in the US to be certified glyphosate-free!

No added Refined Sugars

Carbohydrates are an important source of energy for rapidly growing babies. Fresh cow and goat’s milk doesn’t contain enough carbohydrates for babies, and therefore must be added to formula. For most healthy babies, lactose is the optimal source of carbohydrates. True lactose intolerance is uncommon under 2 or 3 years of age (1).. Kabrita Goat Milk Toddler Formula uses lactose as the primary carbohydrate, with no added refined sugars such as maltodextrin or sucrose.

Prebiotics added to Support Gut Flora

Prebiotics are non-digestible food ingredients that probiotics, healthy bacteria, use as fuel. Goat milk has been shown to naturally contain significantly more prebiotic oligosaccharides compared to cow milk (2), plus Kabrita Goat Milk Toddler Formula contains added prebiotic galactooligosaccharides (GOS).

Beta Palmitate for Better Nutrient Absorption

High 2-palmitic acid, or beta palmitate, contains fat with a unique structure. Formulas with a fat blend containing beta palmitate have been associated with improved calcium and fat absorption (3), as well as softer stool consistency (4). Kabrita Goat Milk Toddler Formula is one of the few formulas in the US to use a premium fat blend with beta palmitate.

DHA to Support Eye and Brain Health

DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is an omega 3 fatty acid that supports normal eye and neurological development in children. Kabrita Goat Milk Toddler Formula contains 23 mg of DHA per two 4-oz servings.

Made in Europe

European food standards are higher than the US with regards to genetic modification and pesticide use, leading many parents to look for European quality products. Kabrita Goat Milk Toddler Formula is made in the Netherlands using high-quality Dutch goat milk, and readily available in the US.

Kabrita Goat Milk Toddler Formula is gentle on tiny tummies and uses high quality Dutch goat milk with no GMO ingredients. Kabrita contains no refined sugar, includes added whey, added prebiotic GOS, and a premium fat blend with beta palmitate.

We encourage parents to consult their little one’s healthcare provider before making a feeding change. Not suitable for children with confirmed cow milk protein allergy.
