Every mom’s feeding experience is as unique as her baby. While the journey may be easy for some, others may struggle with many issues. Real Mom Story is a series on our blog where we ask real moms to share their feeding stories. Being a mom can be difficult at times for anyone. Whether you’re expecting or already have little one, we hope these stories can offer you insight on what worked (or didn’t work) for moms just like you. Today, we will be sharing Kate’s story on supplementing with Kabrita Goat Milk Formula!
I extensively researched and compared different formulas during my pregnancy so I could be prepared if we had to supplement. I only wanted the best!
Once I started back at work, my schedule didn’t allow enough time for pumping quite enough to meet his needs, which I think is a common problem for the modern working mom. I wanted a formula that was close enough to my breast milk as possible and that led me to Kabrita Goat Milk Formula.
My son had horrible silent reflux, almost a bottles worth of spit up a day, and was so gassy, so the easily digestible goat milk protein was the best fit. He continued to have some spit up until 6 months, but it helped tremendously!
As close to breast milk as possible was my goal, and goat milk formula was the answer as a supplement to my own, since I simply could not produce enough.
European Foods' standards are fortunately for them, much higher than the US. So following along that guideline was extremely important to me.
Without a hitch, and I was so thankful to get to skip the drama of him learning to digest something new. We didn’t experience the constipation issues we warned of when introducing formula.
Well, my son seems to not care if I’m giving him breast milk, or Kabrita-and I’d say that’s a major win for a formula to taste so closely to my own.
It’s so easy to mix quickly with an excited baby impatiently waiting, no clumping!
